Beach house makeover

A few weeks ago, I mentioned the makeover taking place at my lovely friend Suzi's house. Well, the house is being painted throughout at the moment, so while that's happening, I thought I'd show you some of the things we'll be using in her design scheme. Oh, and this is the kinda ok view from her back deck:

sweet Maggie May soaking up the sun

we both absolutely LOVE this room, which is our starting point

Here are a few of the pieces (or similar) that we plan on using.

...and we have something very special in store for some of these beauties:

So, what do you think? It does help when you live in a gorgeous location like Suzi does, but really, I think this style works well anywhere. I'll keep you posted on the progress, once the painters are finished.

Have a great weekend everyone,

  2. Well, I was about to go to bed when I saw your new post. Sat down for 1 minute & became entranced. Those little mirrors on each side of the bed actually WORK don't they? I would never have thought of this. Love the silver lamps. But when got to the wrought iron gates I stopped in my tracks. The view is totally awesome and that alone is worth living in a travel trailer, but what you're doing will make this home spectacular. I will be following along. xx's

  12. Okay, first, I had a really hard time getting past that view to the decorations!! AMAZING!! I live in Virginia, USA, and we don't have views like that here! I have to admit, I have view envy. :) On to the decorations, love them. They will be so cool feeling on a hot day, and welcoming on a gloomy day. Can't wait to see the finished product!
