Love and loss

On the 12th of August, we lost our beautiful boy Darcy. It was so sudden, completely unexpected, and utterly heartbreaking for us all. At just seven years old, we assumed we had many happy years ahead with him. Sadly, that wasn't the case - after emergency surgery for a mass on his liver, we found he had inoperable cancer. He was the most beautiful, gentle soul, and so very special to us.

I'm always drawn to the houses of Sydney's Northern Beaches - they have that effortless, laid-back charm I find really appealing. This home has just been listed for sale, and as I've never met a beachy weatherboard I didn't like, it's going straight to the inspiration folder:

My exclusive range for Designer Boys

At long last I can spill the beans on some really exciting news! Earlier this year I met the lovely Gav and Waz from Designer Boys (and from the original series of The Block), and I was beyond thrilled when they approached me about designing an exclusive range of paintings for them. The boys have gone from strength to strength since their first tv appearance, and their framed art pieces are divine. I've just returned from the launch at Decoration and Design in Melbourne, and I can't tell you what a thrill it was to finally see all the hard work come together. I designed a series of coral paintings in three colourways, along with abstracts and butterflies. So, let me introduce.....

I'm really proud of the range, and it's been an absolutely pleasure to work with such genuinely lovely guys. And there's no rest for the wicked, with plans already afoot for new paintings and designs - can't wait to get started!

Bali beauty

As a teenager, one of my prized items of clothing was a white, oversized Stuart Membery shirt. Worn with leggings, slouchy boots and requisite bandana tied in my hair (did I mention it was the late 80's?) I was loving myself sick. As you do. Anyway, nowdays I'm still a massive Membery fan, and although my shirt is sadly no more - worn to death until it was beyond help - my focus has shifted to his stunning interiors and furniture collection.

After moving to Bali, he unleashed his creative talents on an old bungalow, and transformed it by blending the best of colonial plantation, Hamptons style and Caribbean cool into the perfect island getaway.....
