On the 12th of August, we lost our beautiful boy Darcy. It was so sudden, completely unexpected, and utterly heartbreaking for us all. At just seven years old, we assumed we had many happy years ahead with him. Sadly, that wasn't the case - after emergency surgery for a mass on his liver, we found he had inoperable cancer. He was the most beautiful, gentle soul, and so very special to us.
R.I.P my beautiful boy
'Once you've had a wonderful dog, a life without one is a life diminished' - Dean Koontz.
oh no Kerri - i am so so sorry to hear you've lost your gorgeous boy :( there is really nothing as heartbreaking as loosing your dog. Thinking of you! I hope darcy is up in doggie heaven running a muck with my old golden retriever! x
ReplyDeleteSo sad. My friends had to put her beloved pet down this weekend. They are just devastated too. xx
ReplyDeleteOh Kerri, I feel your pain....there is nothing like having a "special" pet to greet you at each day's beginning.
ReplyDeleteOh sorry to hear this Kerri, I am sure he was a big part of your life. Hugs to you and yours. deb
ReplyDeleteI just want to cry! I am sooo so sorry! We have been there way too many times and it never, ever gets easy! I am now dealing with my Chumleys cancer. He is doing good now but you just never know!
ReplyDeletePlease know that he may be gone physically, but he will always be around you. I once went to a psychic and she told me all my animals are with me. And I believe her, although this house must be super crowded!
Prayers are with you and yours.
I know how awful the loss of a dog is. I am so sorry that you lost your beautiful boy so young.
ReplyDeleteThis is so heartbreaking as we have felt that loss before. You have wonderful memories and pictures of your dear boy at least. I am sorry for your family's loss! What a beautiful quote;thank you.

ReplyDeleteHow heartbreaking. I'm sorry for your loss. Darcy looks like a real cutie. Dogs bring so much happiness into our lives, it's hard to get over, I still miss mine and think of them fondly after so many years. Hope you are doing ok.
