Interactive design

Ok guys, I wonder if I could ask a favour? I'm working on some new pieces for my Etsy shop, and have a few questions for all of you design divas out there.

Remember my 'Bouquet in Flow Blue' painting? It's been one of my most popular designs, and I've had a lot of requests for more in this series. So, I have around half a dozen new paintings in the works, but need to decide on a few details before adding them to my shop. Here's a reminder:

available here

So, my questions are: would you like to see more variety in flower colours in this series? Or different blue and white china, different flowers, but all in the same colour? Or maybe both? I'm leaning towards both at the moment. I've just finished one new blue and white vase, but haven't added the bouquet yet. Here's a mock-up of how some roses and peonies in orange would look:

'Blue Willow Bouquet'
a work in progress!

Any and all suggestions will be gratefully received. I've already had some lovely readers offer advice, which I've taken on board, so you'll be seeing some hydrangeas (thanks Letitia), orange flowers as requested by Judy, and more 'wild' offerings, thanks to Kerry!

So, it's over to you guys. What would you like to see? Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

  1. The blue and white china is so beautiful and tied back with the pink makes it my favourite! Would love to see more in the blue and white china, can't wait to see what you come up with xx

  2. Kerri, what I personally love about your art is the color combos together with the patterns. That blue with those pinks are perfection and I wouldn't change a thing! If you want to use other kinds of flowers of the same color that wouldn't bother me but what you've already made doesn't really need any improvements, IMO. But if you want feel free to experiment, others might like those other color combos better. I prefer the original :)

  3. I don't think you can lose with changing the flowers or the style of the blue and white china.
It will just make it harder for people to choose.

  4. Hmmm.....I would initially say different range of colours for the flowers special K...having said that both vases featured are very different styles..the second one has more of an oriental feel to it...which would look gorgeous featured with a bunch of lillies or orchids.. Oh I dont know..I love them both! lol Im no help! Im sorry..lol x

  5. Personally I would love some cherry blossom as love the smaller delicateness of them but also think anything with a bit of height would be interesting out of your taller vases.... We all know whatever you do will be gorgeous but that's my penny's worth x

  6. How about some yellow? I am thinking a wall of the blue/white differing vases with different colour flowers. e.g 6 - 3 on each row sort of look. I hope that makes sense? ;-)

  7. Hi Kerri,
I think perhaps different vases, easier to hang as a group... Still LOVE the first one :)

  8. White, acid yellow and a hint of green - I love the pink, but the orange is too 'pretty' for me (but you're an artist and I'm not!)

  9. Should have said Kerri how much I love the clean spare lines and openness of the painting of the vase, and see it carried over into the flowers.

  10. Hi Kerri:

I love the orange but also would love to see yellow daffodils in the blue and white vase - or any yellow flowers! I love your work!

  11. Hi Kerri,

I have been looking at your pink bouquet in flow blue print for some time and have been wishing the pink blooms were red dahlias!

I also second Letitia's request for hydrangeas - I love blue hydrangeas.

    Thanks, Gen

  12. Hi Kerri,

Love it all - but if I had to make a suggestion maybe a soft blue/green/grey palette (no surprises there!) Pink and green always a favourite colour combination too. Definately loving the idea of Hydrangeas. The mock up looks gorgeous.

  13. I love the idea of Hydrangeas - blues, purples, pinks - reminds me of my grandmothers garden.

    V :)

  14. I haven't read what others have said, but yellow daffodils were what sprang to mind when I saw the vases. I like the orange peonies as well.
