I wanted to let you know that the lovely Digella has been working tirelessly to offer some relief to the rescue effort, by way of delivering baked goods to SES centres around Brisbane. She's done an amazing job, and if there are any Brissie bloggers able to help, head on over to her blog for all the details. My eldest daughter and I have spent the morning baking, which is such a small thing to help on our part, but I know it's the little things that sometimes make all the difference.
Take care everyone,
... you do what you can do, and that's all anyone should ever want or ask for!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's just the little things that makes a difference in a needy persons life!
Take good care of your self and your family!!

Such a thoughtful gesture and thing to do. I am sure you will put a smile on many sad and weary faces with your kindness.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel proud you and your daughter should.

such a lovely thing to do, everything helps and us Brissy people are determined to help in anyway.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you all are safe, my heart breaks for those who have not been so lucky! I'm sure your baked goods will be greatly appreciated by those who receive them!

Thank you so much!!!
ReplyDeleteI read about Digella over at Ruby and Belle and commented to her how heartwarming it is to see people pull together to help out in such trying times :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea, i'd be making lots of my husband's famous chicken sandwiches (imagine chicken, dill & homemade mayonaise on multigrain, heavenly) in whopping Tupperware containers. Then bake up a storm!! Instead i can send my soldier husband to help out, he's finally in Brisbane after driving about 2000km from Canberra, that is the scenic route for sure!! Love Posie
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are ok Kerri. My heart breaks every time I hear the updates. I am so glad that it did not peak at what was predicted. You are so right, sometimes the "little" things make all the difference and really lift the spirit.

ReplyDeleteWhat a kind and thoughtful way to help out the rescue efforts :-) I'm sure everyone who's been working hard with the rescue efforts is thrilled with these tasty treats. And even more so, what they represent - that people are thinking of them and care about them :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that the worst is over...
There is a satisfaction in baking and proving food for relief. Wish I was closer to bake up a storm!
ReplyDeleteForgive me, there was no pun intended there. Let me re-phrase. Wish I was closer bake a ton of goodies to help out.
