Those of you who've been visiting my blog for some time might remember my posts here and here, on some fantastic examples of traditional Queenslanders, meticulously renovated and restored by a very talented Brisbane couple. Well, they've just finished their latest project, and I thought I'd share it with you. This home is quite different to their previous renovations, but you can see the same attention to detail, and a definite focus on combining the best of a bygone era with all the essentials for modern living.

So, what do you think - how does this stack up to their previous projects?
I have my own personal fave, but I'd love to know what you think!
Enjoy your weekend everyone,
Thanks for posting. Interesting and good design
ReplyDeleteI would like to see some original art (as opposed to the prints used- such as the skyscape print and other black and whites - these are in the poster shops and I feel cheapen the wonderful space)I find the sheer drape is too prominent in the soft space.
Overall a great design and I would just make those minor changes.

Love thier style!!
ReplyDeleteThey are both stunning. Mt fave though is the 2nd one - that outdoor dining area is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteOh so lovely. As someone who is about to build a Queenslander on a farm in the country, this is so helpful. We're building a big sprawlling 6 bedroom + rumpus & study version, breezeway etc, as we have the space & children to fill the rooms. It's so exciting to do the planning. Rather love the elevated one, but i want it clear so i can see any snakes coming (having to work on my fears, being a city girl & all). Love Posie
ReplyDeleteI think they once again have done a splendid job, but my all time favourite was the one at "The Drive" Bardon. I do love the black window frames of this new home! I might have to go have a look at this one. Mimi x
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to mention we have the same black and white picture, ours is in the dining room. I did say to my husband we should put it above our bed. I will show him your blog. Mimi x
ReplyDeleteIt's very modern and gleaming, very well done. For me I prefer the taupe and white calm bedroom and the magnificent home with the palms.
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeless at choosing but I think the second one for me. Regardless, I think they have mastered the outdoor room to perfection. Hope your weekend's motoring along well my friend x
ReplyDeleteLast one is my favorite! But the others are gorgeous too:)
ReplyDeleteLove all of their work..simply stunning..and those ghost chairs just disappear.Hmmm. I cannot choose a favourite as I love elements of both..Thanks for sharing. Kym x
ReplyDeleteThey are all great! I really love the last four! That bedroom is beautuful and the outside sitting area is my dream!! Thanks for sharing! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing renovation. I love this couple's style. That is the sort of house I could move in to tomorrow. I liked their past house but this one with the Ghost chairs, zebra rug and that kitchen window- I'm sold:)
ReplyDeleteGreat post Kerri:)
I really like the bones but not so keen on the slick styling. SOme elemts are nice - the deco mirror, the kitchen and love the ghost chairs. They do a great job, with the exception of "no7" house with its extension clearly visible from the frontage. I don't think that's a good look. We have some amazing heritage buildings in Hobart that, in my mind, have been ruined by unsympathetic reno jobs that have seriously altered the skyline. Ok, I can get off my soapbox now!!!
ReplyDeleteAll three are lovely but my personal favourite is definitely the first. I love the front facade, queenslander feel, stylish use of space, the deck and the gorgeous relaxing outlook.
