the lilac of the top grain sack is much brighter than it looks in this pic
While I was outside, I couldn't resist taking a few extra photos. It's a beautiful winters' day here in Brisbane (if you can ignore the wind!) and the dappled light filtering through the trees was lovely.
the kids' old tyre swing has had quite a workout over the years
and their cubby house has seen better days, but I can't bear to part with it!
our driveway winds its way up this hill
the last leaves of my Jacaranda tree - aren't the colours lovely?
Have a great day everyone
I love the look of your property...especially in winter when there aren't any snakes! I'm loving those grain sacks, especially the lilac....just gorgeous. And I think a great use for them too.

Hey Kerri,
ReplyDeleteI am in no way qualified to make any recommendations about anything interiors, but I wonder how it would look with the coloured strip off centre? Either a third to the left or right, do you know what I mean? Usually I am one for symmetry but I just have a feeling this would look good. Delete this comment and never think of it again if you are shaking yor head and screaming no....like I said, just an idea. I love the idea to use the grain sacks and will be interested to see the result, whatever you decide.
X Briohny.
You have such a lovely yard Kerri, and I love the grain sacks. That lilac is beautiful!!!

Your grain sacks look great on that chair Kerri. What a wonderful property you have. I'm surprised there aren't more jacarandas here on the Gold Coast. They are so pretty.

Those are gorgeous grain sacks - and especially the lovely colours. I think it would look amazing on the chair, but I also love cushions made of grain sacks.
ReplyDeleteI think your little cubbie needs an adult makeover - to be an artist's retreat or tea spot. I can picture it now - so serene so pretty.
You are a lucky girl finding those grain sacks. I think they look great as chair covers! Your yard looks so nice and private! xx
ReplyDeleteSuperior grain sacks Kerri! Would you consider putting them horizontally? North/South has become a bit usual, and visible seaming is current.
ReplyDeleteLove your grain sacks, gorgeous!! Your property is just beautiful!!!! Have a wonderful day!
