Fiddle dee dee

Morning lovelies,

So, I have this fetish at the moment for indoor greenery. Orchids have always been a staple, but I'm thinking a little bigger. Actually much bigger. You see, a sweet friend of mine gave me a fiddle-leaf fig, which I'd been lusting over for ages. And then I saw them everywhere.  I love that they're equally at home in a relaxed beach setting or in a hip mid-century interior. Now, I know indoor plants fell out of favour, and with good reason. I blame it on an overdose of maidenhair ferns. But what do you think? Yay or nay? Here are a few examples to give you food for thought.

Have a great day

  2. I LOVE that. A house whithout greenery/flowers isn't alive for me. Back in the day: I always had an orhid in my bedroom at my mom's, afterwards I bought a "mini" palm tree that grew so much that I had to take it out in the garden!
And now lucky me we have a front and a back garden, that helps ;-). But a bunch of sunflowers in the kitchen is always a must!

  3. Go for it I reckon Kerri...it's all in getting the right pot to match the plant, and how I love those beautiful glass bottles in the second image...highly impractical for potting a plant of course, but hey! I love the idea of a chinese style pot for that plant and the bigger the better! Thanks so much for your very wise comments on my paint dilemma too kxx

  6. I used to have indoor pants back in NZ but since moving here I do anything and everything to keep the bugs away from my house so live plants are banned from indoors! Not that we don't have bugs in NZ, it's just that they're not as big,lol

  9. I have never really had indoor plants, but have always wondered if I could pull them off. These pictures are great! I might need to save them for some inspiration as I'd love some indoor plants after seeing these. Thanks :)

  11. Hi Kerri! Fantastic pictures!! I prefer to have some fresh flowers, because I'm not very good with indoor plants...I have had 2...but they made a bad end.... not a great indoor gardener! ;)
    Hugs!

  12. The only reason they "fell out of favor" here was because I have a cat that eats the leaves!

  14. You definitely need indoor greenery. Be it real or faux, it adds a warmth and lived in feel that can't be achieved without it.
